The Herbalist

This painting was completed in 2022 after a 4 year journey through many incarnations. There were times when she was resting...until she let me know that she was ready to evolve a little more. The last additions were the hops festooned across the top and the chamomile decorating the lower edges. I ignored her request for the hops for a long time. I wanted the painting to be finished but that's not how it works with this intuitive method of creating. There's always more going on than meets the eye. Below are some photos of her as she was changing. She holds the energy of  women's knowledge and wisdom of plants and herbs and her connection with deep earth magic.
